We have seen an increase in the number of patients who are showing up for their retainer check appointments minus their retainers. Please be aware that patients must always bring their retainers to the appointment with them if they are scheduled for a retainer check. Patients who show up without their retainers cannot be seen and will have their appointment rescheduled which is an inconvenience no one needs.

So, please remember…if you are scheduled for a retainer check appointment, make sure you bring all of your retainers with you to your appointment!

A common statement we hear in our office is "my dog ate my retainer". If you have a dog or cat in the house, PLEASE make sure you are putting your retainer in a safe place, out of their reach. They can and will open retainer cases if they get a hold of it! Once they get the smell of the saliva and food from your retainer they will chew it to shreds.

Keep them in a safe place!!!
