A common statement we hear in our office is "my dog ate my retainer". If you have a dog or cat in the house, PLEASE make sure you are putting your retainer in a safe place, out of their reach. They can and will open retainer cases if they get a hold of it! Once they get the smell of the saliva and food from your retainer they will chew it to shreds.
Keep them in a safe place!!!
