Celebrate World Kindness Day Today!

November 13th is celebrated as the World Kindness Day. A day designated to realize the need for a more compassionate and kinder world.

Origin of the World Kindness Day

World Kindness Movement is attributed to the origination of this celebration. Different groups, aiming for more kindness in the world, got together in a line of conferences between the years 1996 and 1997. On November 13, 1997, they made a ‘Declaration of Kindness’ and with that the World Kindness Day was born.

World Kindness Day Celebration...

It is not like you have to be kind only on this day, but the World Kindness Day is a reminder of the need for more of your kindness in this world. We know that kindness and smile are contagious and they are not going to stop with you, not just with this day. A decision that you take this day and the very small step you put forth will create a chain reaction, creating an impact that you cannot even fathom.
So make an extra effort to be kind today and celebrate World Kindness Day in style!

Logansport Salvation Army Needs Assistance

Attention, friends, please help us spread the word about a situation at the Logansport Salvation Army. At their “Coats for Kids” Distribution Day, they had about 1002 applications, but could only pass out 460 coats. They had to turn away 170 kids without coats because they didn’t have the right sized coats to give. The main areas in which they ran short were boys’ coats in sizes 7 through 12. While they can always take coats (any size) and store them for next year’s drive, they are currently asking the community for additional funds to purchase coats for those kiddos they had to wait-list. This is the first year they have had to do this.

So, if you or someone you know would like to help, please contact them at 574-722-1979. Thank you!

Help us keep little people warm this winter!  Our mitten tree has just gone up in the office. We ask patients, families, and friends to decorate this tree with mittens, hats, scarves, and gloves which we will give to The Salvation Army for distribution to those in need of warm winter gear. Please donate; the tree will be up until December 13. With the weather we have seen thus far, it just might be a cold one. We appreciate anything you can do!

We held a mock presidential election yesterday with our patients voting just for fun.  Our patients voted Mitt Romney the next president.  It will be interesting to see how our office results compare to Indiana as a state and the nation as a whole.  This is going to be a close election; it's really anyone's guess as to who ends up  the next president of the United States.  Please exercise your right to vote!
